YouTube Partner Program Changes
YouTube announced a new policy where channels under 1,000 subs and 4,000 watch hours (240,000 watch minutes) will be removed from the YouTube Partner Program (YTPP). This replaces the recently enacted policy of required 10,000 lifetime views before joining the YTPP. If you are part of an MCN (Multi-Channel Network), you are generally required by YouTube to join the YTPP (signing up for adsense, agreeing to the TOS, etc.) prior to linking to a network. If you are not part of an MCN, you are required to be part of YTPP.
If you do not meet these requirements, you will be removed from the YouTube Partner Program and automatically unlinked from your network on February 20th, 2018.
If you are a Screenwave Media Partner, we will be reaching out to everyone that will be impacted by this policy to notify of this change and to discuss our options. However, feel free to reach out before you are contacted.

We know this isn’t the easiest news to hear if you’re an up-and-coming channel, but we encourage you to keep pushing towards your goals to be better video creators.
YouTube is a marathon, not a sprint! Great channels take time to grow.
