VIP Gaming Lounge Coming to The Big House

(Philadelphia, Oct. 2, 2018) Screenwave Media (http://www.screenwavemedia.com), is a creator-driven multi-channel network, publisher, & influencer agency for video games and pop culture. Ryan Schott, CEO & co-founder is excited to announce The VIP Gaming Lounge, an amenities/esports playing area, to The Big House event series, from Oct. 5 – Oct. 7th, 2018 in Detroit, MI.

The Big House started in 2011, and is the largest Super Smash Bros. tournament and convention in the Midwest. The event is held over the course of three days, consisting of singles (1v1), doubles (2v2), and various exhibitions and side tournaments of Super Smash Bros. 64, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. and many other popular fighting games like Bandai Namco’s Dragon Ball FighterZ.

The focus on providing a space for players is a crucial part of the VIP Gaming Lounge. Careful attention has been paid towards the needs of top competitors in esports environments – normally, players have to use casual “friendly” set-ups, or crouch down in a corner or side-hallway to prepare for competition, which can be disruptive and non-conducive for high-levels of play. The 20’ x 20’ booth includes sectioned-off set-ups for Smash for WiiU & Melee with recording capabilities, demo kiosk stations for additional games, a refreshment area for competitors, as well as an open area for content creators can use for meet-and-greets & autograph signings.

Says Ryan Schott: “The idea behind [The] VIP Gaming Lounge is to provide a space where we can take our expertise and resources with Screenwave Media, and offer what we can to make an overall better experience for competitors and attendees at these events”. “We’re providing a space where the players who have qualified for later rounds in the bracket can practice, and attendees can demo Screenwave Media’s titles like Meme Machine, Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures, and the upcoming Eagle Island. We’re also working alongside the tournament organizers to showcase and record the side event tournaments for DB Fighters & [Super Smash Bros.] Brawl” adds Mark “CT Chibo” Korsak, founder of CLASH Tournaments and 12 year esports veteran.

The VIP Gaming Lounge is located adjacent to the EvenMatchupGaming arena, Hall C.
